About Mansfield & District Potters (MAD Potters)
Mansfield & District Potters (MAD Potters) is a not-for-profit member based community organisation that aims to bring the clay lovers of Mansfield and surrounds together fostering a welcoming environment in which to share ideas, knowledge and skills in the craft of pottery.
MAD Potters formed in 2022 and successfully organised the inaugural Mansfield Pottery Festival in March 2023, which was well attended and achieved positive feedback from the community.
In 2023 Council leased the former Police Stables to MAD Potters to enable them to establish a community pottery studio to be known as The Clay Stables.
In 2024 MAD Potters received the Australia Day Award for its event the Mansfield Pottery Festival held in 2023. Followed by a commendation at the Australian Event Awards for the Pottery Festival.
In 2025, MAD Potters received the Community Group Award at the Australia Day event.
In 2025 MAD Potters was awarded winner of the Tidy Towns – Keep Australia Beautiful for Community Sustainability.
