Mark Gambino Glazes
MAD Potters is proud to have Mark Gambino glazes as our Studio glazes at The Clay Stables. We opted for mid-fire glazes to suit our clay firing temperature. Having met up with Mark at the Mansfield Pottery Festival and being so impressed with his range of pottery and his gorgeous glazes we started a conversation with him about being the supplier of glazes to our Studio for Members to use. “What a great idea!” was Mark’s response. He loved that we were introducing a whole community to pottery and wanted to be part of that. He has provided our first batch of glazes as a sponsorship. Not only did he supply the glazes but he went above and beyond and created a special glaze for our Studio called Mansfield Green!
After a casual visit to a potter’s studio approximately 30 years ago, Mark Gambino’s life was transformed, immediately being transfixed to the art and craft of the potter and the elegance and form of the clay. And for much of the last 30 years has been compelled to share his passion for pottery through the training and education of others. Mark is truly a great guy and produces amazing pottery and also teaches at his studio in Montrose, Melbourne. Mark is often at markets where he has his pottery for sale to the public.
